Haroon Ulugh Beg Latif
Mr. Latif has over 17 years of Halal domain, strategy consulting and private equity advisory experience, where he has worked in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East, across multiple business sectors.
Mr. Latif has developed deep domain expertise on the Halal industry with his extensive advisory work including advising a GCC Sovereign Wealth Fund on how to invest in the Halal Food industry; developing an attractive pipeline of Halal Food investment targets for a GCC private equity firm; helping two digital businesses (one a Halal travel booking platform, the other a Halal foodtech proposition) to connect with potential investors; helping establish a news and content platform on Halal Food and related industries and advising a multilateral Institution representing the Organization of Islamic Countries on food security matters.
In previous roles, he worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers and L.E.K. Consulting, in transactions-focused roles as a Project Manager, where he led financial due diligence and strategy assignments respectively. He also worked at a U.S.-based private equity firm investing in ethnic Hispanic market opportunities in the U.S. as part of a summer internship, as well as a UK-based venture firm that supported multinationals in launching new ventures.
Mr. Latif has a Masters of Business Administration with Distinction from Cornell’s Johnson Graduate School of Management, is a CPA, and also has a Masters of Economics from London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Manchester.
Joseph J. Vadapalas
Mr. Vadapalas has over 30 years of experience in originating, structuring, and managing investments. Prior to Orchard Way, he was a co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of several private equity funds and investment firms specializing in small and medium sized buy-outs and business development across diverse industries and geographies including the U.S., Latin America, the UK and Asia.
Mr. Vadapalas has served as a board member and senior advisor to numerous public, private, family office, fund of funds and non-profit entities in the U.S., Latin America, Canada, the UK and Asia.
Previously, Mr. Vadapalas was an executive at The Chase Manhattan Bank (predecessor to JP Morgan Chase) focusing on corporate finance advisory services in the U.S. and Latin America. He began his career as a research & development engineer at Atlantic Richfield (now BP plc).
Mr. Vadapalas has a Masters of Public and Private Management from Yale University, a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Bottger has over 30 years of international private equity and public accounting experience. Prior to Orchard Way, he was Co-head of Investcorp's global investment administration function; overseeing business support services to the Private Equity and Venture Capital deal teams in New York and London, and the investment placement team in the Arabian Gulf. In a previous role at Investcorp, Mr. Bottger served as a post-acquisition corporate investment Principal with responsibilities that included oversight of portfolio company strategy, financial operations, accounting, budgeting and reporting.
Prior to his roles at Investcorp, Mr. Bottger was with PricewaterhouseCoopers in the US and Australia having managed a diverse range of client engagements encompassing business assurance and corporate financial advisory services.
Mr. Bottger has a Bachelor of Business degree in Accountancy from the Queensland University of Technology. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and the Association of Chartered Accountants, United States.
Mr. Kironde oversees Europe and the GCC from London and focuses on strategic and investor relationships.
Mr. Kironde established and is General Manager of Gamma Advisors, and has served as Managing Director of alternative investment firm Investcorp, and as Managing Director of PineBridge Investments (Middle East). Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President & Managing Director of ABN AMRO Bank (Schweiz) AG, Chief Investment Officer of Chase Manhattan Bank (Switzerland)'s Wealth Management unit and was a Directeur of JP Morgan (Suisse). Before J.P. Morgan, Mr. Kironde worked at the Chase Investment Bank co-heading the corporate finance division and before that at CS First Boston.
Mr. Kironde is on the Board of Directors of Parkwell Limited and the advisory board of Sivium Capital Ltd.
Mr. Kironde has an MBA from the Harvard Business School and also has an MA from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and a BA (hons.) in Folklore and Mythology from Harvard University.
Ms. Mena-Rimolo has a 40-year career of accomplishment in accounting, control and compliance both in the U.S. and internationally.
Most recently, Ms. Mena-Rimolo has served as a FINRA/SIPC registered representative offering securities products and services to individuals. Prior to this, she worked at KPMG LLP and PricewaterhouseCoopers in Risk Management and Independence Compliance areas.
Ms. Mena-Rimolo also worked at two private equity funds, Modera Alternative Investment and WestSphere Equity Partners as Senior Analyst and Controller, respectively. In the latter position, she assisted in monitoring WestSphere’s offices in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia and Venezuela.
Previously to WestSphere, Ms. Mena-Rimolo worked as an Audit Manager at Creditanstalt and before that as an Assistant Treasurer in Chase Manhattan’s high net worth wealth management division focusing on investor compliance.
Ms. Martha Mena-Rimolo graduated from the Lehman College of the City University of New York with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance.
